The west side of Brahegatan. All to increase trade in the shops and to ensure that our

On August 10, the World Candy World Cup will be held in Gränna – or ”Candy Capital of the World” as the organizer Gränna Näringsliv wants to call the town. New for this year is a major effort to invite foreign candy makers.
– The time is ripe and we have the opportunity to organize the competition in this way this year,” says Fredric Agnhammar, project manager for the Polar Bear World Cup.
The production of candy canes in the rest of the world is not nearly as large as in Sweden. In Gränna there are no less than 15 candy manufacturers and Fredric Agnhammar wants to take advantage of the local production.
– By organizing the Polkagris World Cup, we extend the tourist season in Gränna, which of course benefits the region. We also want to put Gränna on the map as the ”Candy Capital of the World”.
Our application to the police to display certain items outside our shops has been rejected. I have spoken to Mona Bååth at the police and Mikael Enarsson at the municipality. They refer to the fact that the space is too narrow and that disabled people must be able to pass. None of my arguments helped, you are welcome to contact them yourself and see if you can do better.
On Wednesday 15/5 at 8 am we will set up the flags over Brahegatan, everyone who has time is welcome to help. See you at Palms Iron.
The next City Group morning meeting will be moved to Friday 7/6 at 08 am at Grenna Glass. This is due to the national day which is on 6/6.
Allsång i Gränna hamn has over the years become a great public success and a popular radio program. With listenership figures of almost one million and popular Swedish artists mixed with international stars, the program seriously takes up the fight against the giants Allsång på Skansen and Lotta på Liseberg. The fact that the artists now call and want to participate indicates that the event and the radio broadcasts in P4 have become firmly established, says producer Calle Wisborg.
Here are all the artists performing:
Recording on June 30, Sarah Dawn Finer, John Lindberg trio, Kvinnoväsen and the winner of Svensktoppen nästa from Östergötland County.
Recorded on July 7, Johnny Logan, Thomas Dileva, Peter Johansson and Louise Frick Sveen.
Recording July 14, Bonnie Tyler, The Party, Lisa Tilling and Melanie Espinoza Wolf
Recording July 21, Alcazar, Caisa Stina Åkerström, Titanix and the winner of Svensktoppen nästa Jönköping.
– ”It is a privilege to go to Gränna every Sunday and meet a large audience together with some of the country’s best artists,” says host Peje Johansson.
