On July 11, André Day is traditionally celebrated in Gränna to honor the memory of Salomon August Andrée and his balloon expedition to the North Pole. Balloonists from all over the country will gather in Gränna from July 8.
The Andrée Balloon Prize is awarded at Grenna Museum and later in the evening there will be a flight somewhere in the Grenna area. Information on the flights is available on the Ballongklubben Andrée website.
