Comments for the summer

Comments for the summer

This is a summary of views and possible solutions from most of the city of Gränna.
merchants.
Traffic Brahegatan
-Too crowded on Brahegatan for both traffic and pedestrians.
Proposal for action:
– Close Brahegatan to traffic, except for the emergency services. A summer street, just like
Kärleksgatan in Malmö, or Rörstrandsgatan in Sthlm. This summer is a perfect time to
opportunity to try something that has been on the cards for so long?
– Prohibit parking along the central part of Brahegatan, thus widening the area for pedestrians.
– Remove the large metal cars (bike racks), they take up a lot of space that could be freed up for
pedestrian visitors.
– There may be space in and around the Ribba school, which could be used for parking. I
in which case these should be clearly signposted.
The municipality’s proposal for action:
The municipality removes parking on central Brahegatan. This must take into account
handicapped parking may be relocated if feasible. The route could be a postal route to the
priest’s alley. Some kind of (pleasant) barrier to traffic is set up.
The bike rack is removed.
Queues
-Considering the current restrictions, in particular those on the maximum number of people in the store to avoid
congestion, there will be long queues outside all the shops instead.
We as shop owners need to know if we are responsible for queue management outside the shop? Of course we want to
help to facilitate our customers queuing outside the store but do we risk penalties if it
not working?
The County Council:
You have your own responsibility for the queues outside your business. Some businesses have a sidewalk and a
outdoor seating, then you are responsible for that part. If it is municipal land, the activity is not
responsible. Placing decals and marking the ground makes it easier to queue at a distance.
to each other.
Municipalities:
Jönköping municipality will take the issue with them and provide feedback at the next meeting.

For the 2021 summer season

For the 2021 summer season

Gränna Näringslivsförening collaborates with Jönköping’s business office to see how we can meet the summer in Gränna in the best possible way.

It would be appreciated if we could get your views, thoughts and ideas on how to manage the restrictions during the summer. What problems need to be solved, what can we do ourselves, what could the municipality help us with.

We had a first meeting on April 21 with information about the restrictions and rules that apply. The next meeting will be on 27/5 at 18.00.

Gränna Näringsliv and Jönköping municipality’s business office have a common desire to solve the problems that exist in the best possible way.

With this pandemic, there are no ready-made answers and solutions, so we need to do this together.

So:

  • Please send me information on what kind of help you would like to have during the summer.
  • Please also let us know if you have any suggestions or tips for measures that would help trade during the summer.

We collect and compile the material so we have a common basis from Gränna when we continue to work together with the municipality and other authorities to make the summer as good as possible for our businesses and our visitors.

With kind regards

5 simple steps to reduce infidelity

The key to successful sales over time is understanding what the customer wants. Today, tomorrow and the day after.

The management company Brick Management describes in a very simple way what is required to increase customer satisfaction and thus reduce the risk of the customer choosing another supplier:

  • Pay attention – if you don’t keep up with what the customer really thinks and feels, you risk being passed over for someone else who better meets your needs and requirements.
  • You are replaceable – nowadays it is much easier to replace a supplier as the choice has increased in almost all areas. If you don’t continuously adapt your offer, you risk losing business to other more agile suppliers.
  • Digitalization creates accessibility but also distance – the key lies in combining advanced digitalization with personal contact.
  • Surveys don’t tell the whole story – instead of conducting customer surveys on whether the customer was satisfied or not with a particular service or product, have the courage to ask customers what they really think of you as a supplier and what would make the customer choose another supplier.
  • Needs change over time – as a supplier you need to be aware of trends and innovative solutions and be proactive.

It is said that a dissatisfied customer talks about you with 20 other people, a satisfied customer with five. It is therefore quite costly not to satisfy customers and meet their expectations. Which really should be quite simple, if you know what the customer really wants.
